You must first transfer your license before moving your SolidNetWork Licence Manager to a new computer.

This must be done before uninstalling the SolidNetWork Licence Manager. (If you have already uninstalled your SolidNetWork Licence Manager without transferring your licence, you should contact us and we can manually deactivate your server for you.)

1. Open SolidNetWork License Manager on your server computer. You can find this on the Windows Start menu, listed as "SOLIDWORKS Tools 2024 > SOLIDWORKS License Manager Server 2024" (the year will depend on the version you have installed).
   
   
2. Go to the Server Administration tab
   
   
   
   
3. Under License Information select Modify....
   
   
4. Select Move your product licence(s) to a new/upgraded computer and click Next.
   
   
   
   
5. Select Automatically over the Internet (recommended), enter your email address and then click Next.
   
   
   
   
6. Your licence should now be deactivated.

1. Open the SolidNetWork License Manager.
   
   
2. Open Windows Task Manager and go to the Details tab (called the Processes tab in older versions of Windows).
   
   
3. Select the Process called "swlmwiz.exe" and click on End Task. If a pop-up appears select End process.
   
   
   
   
4. Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features (also called Uninstall a program)
   
   
   
   
5. Select the Program called "SOLIDWORKS SolidNetWork Licence Manager" and click Uninstall. If a pop up appears asking to uninstall the program, select Yes.
   
   
6. After the uninstall is complete restart the computer.
   
   
7. Browse to the location where the SolidNetWork Licence Manager was installed and delete the folder. By default, this is:
   
   C:\Program Files (x86)\SOLIDWORKS Corp\SolidNetWork License Manager
   
   

Congratulations, the SolidNetWork License Manager is now uninstalled and deactivated.

You can now Install the SolidNetWork Licence Manager on another server.
